MCP-601 Control Command Codes 2.0
16
POSITION:VIDOUT
POSITION:VIDEOOUT
Determines where the incoming video data allowed by POSITION
VIDIN/VIDEOIN will be placed in the out going video.
SYNTAX POSITION:VIDOUT <left x>,<top y>,<right x>,<bottom y>
POSITION:VIDOUT ?
POSITION:VIDEOOUT <left x>,<top y>,<right x>,<bottom y>
POSITION:VIDEOOUT ?
ARGUMENTS 0 – 719 for x The values are in pixels.
0 – 479 for y while in NTSC. The values are in lines.
0 – 571 for y while in PAL. The values are in lines.
The upper limit for y is determined by the detection of NTSC or PAL
from the incoming video. The MCP601 will limit the coordinates to
fit with-in the limits of the detected video.
By using both the POSITION:VIDOUT/VIDEOOUT and POSITION:VIDIN/VIDEOIN
commands, scaling (“video push”) of the video image can be preformed.
The scaling ratio is defined as follows:
horizontal: (VIDOUT <right x> - VIDOUT <left x>)
------------------------------------
{ VIDIN <right x> - VIDIN <left x> )
vertical: (VIDOUT <bottom y> - VIDOUT <top y>)
------------------------------------
{ VIDIN <bottom y> - VIDIN <left y> )
The scaling ratio cannot be greater then 1.05 to 1.10 or no greater
then 5% to 10% zoom. If the zoom is too great, the video image will
freeze. Reduce the zoom to regain a live image.
RELATED COMMAND
POSITION:VIDOUT/VIDEOOUT
POSITION:LOCKOUT
Determines the area to keep the graphic image out of. This only
functions when the incoming video and out going video is 100% size.
SYNTAX POSITION:LOCKOUT <left x>,<top y>,<right x>,<bottom y>
POSITION:LOCKOUT ?
ARGUMENTS 0 – 719 for x The values are in pixels.
0 – 479 for y while in NTSC. The values are in lines.
0 – 571 for y while in PAL. The values are in lines.
The currently detected NTSC or PAL determines the upper limit for y
in the incoming video. The MCP601 will limit the coordinates to fit
with in the limits of the detected video. The graphic image will be
kept out of the area to the left of <left x>, the area to the right
of <right x>, the area above <top y> and the area below <bottom y>.
