MCP-601 Features
The MCP-601 incorporates the latest in computer DVI/VGA/XGA/UXGA-to-video conversion.
Video
• Supports both digital and analog systems including 525/625 digital SDI-601 and Y, R-Y, B-Y
analog component, Y/C, NTSC and PAL standards.
• Simultaneous digital SDI-601 and analog video outputs.
• Vertical Flicker Stabilizer and horizontal filtering proprietary technology significantly enhance
signal quality and reduces interlace flicker.
Video Squeeze
• Video squeeze mode enables a live video input to reposition and resize from 5% to 100% of
original, to be combined with graphics input.
DVI / VGA
• Automatic recognition and lock to standard display resolutions from 640x480 and up to
1600x1280.
• Special User Mode of 720X480 (NTSC) and 720x 576 (PAL) VGA resolutions for optimum
pixel-to-pixel conversion.
• Broadcast video and underscan video output modes for broadcast or multimedia applications
• Scan conversion of a MagniPort window size within VGA resolutions up to 1600x1200 and16
million colors. Resizing and repositioning of the MagniPort graphics window.
• Full video conversion from 640x480 up to 1024x768 VGA resolutions.
• Maintains the correct aspect ratio.
• Digital DVI and analog VGA inputs
Key and Overlay
• Video over graphics and graphics over video key modes are supported.
• SDI 601 and analog key outputs for downstream keying
• Full field alpha key, chroma key and transparent key functions
• Vertical and horizontal filtering reduces edge artifacts during an overlay process
• Software selectable overlay color and control.
Genlock
• Genlock allows synchronizing, mixing and overlaying DVI/VGA with SDI-601 and analog video
• Industry-proven genlock technology performs exceptionally well even with consumer-grade
cameras and VCRs. The MCP-601’s genlock maintains low jitter when used with studio sources.
• Genlock to Reference Input or Internal Clock for scan conversion applications.
• Automatically genlock to selected analog video input source. Lock to Internal Clock when loss of
video occurred.
• Internal clock provides stable video outputs and Composite output with SCH zero timing.
